Nancy Kay Stevens 64, of Terre Haute, passed away on June 26, 2026 after her short transition to The Gibson Family Center for Hospice at Union Hospital. She was born March 31, 1962 in Terre Haute to Everett E Stevens and Evelyn D (Laycock) Stevens. She is survived by her daughter Charity Kennedy (Austen), her daughter in law Sarah Day (Mike), her grandchildren Cadence Kennedy, Abel Kennedy, Kiera Kennedy, and a granddaughter Lynielle Kaytori on the way, and her brother Elmer Carlyle, and many nieces and nephews.

Over the years she worked as a manager at a few restaurants, a server, and a bartender at a few bars. She enjoyed time with her children and grandchildren. She loved country drives and looking at wildlife. She enjoyed fishing, cookouts, and loved cooking.

Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, step-father Elmer Carlyle, her two sons Michael and Nelson Kennedy, her sisters Delores Carlyle, Sandy Haney, brothers Bob Laycock, Everett Stevens, Chuck Carlyle, and Josh Zills whom she loved as a son.

She will be deeply missed by her loved ones.

Her daughter is keeping her wishes with cremation and no service but planning a Celebration of Life for next month. If anyone would like to make a donation in her memory, you can do so to The Gibson Family Center for Hospice at Union Hospital.
