Nina L. (Harmon) Jones, age 67 of Jasonville ran into the arms of Jesus on September 26th, 2026.  Nina was born on August 2, 1959 to Wesley and Marilyn (Brewer) Harmon of Shelburn.

Nina had a great love for Jesus and an extensive knowledge of the Bible and very much enjoyed sharing her wisdom with whomever was seeking. She was also known for her love and knowledge of flowers. In her retirement, she could always be found around her vast yard, weeding and cultivating the most beautiful flower beds she created for butterflies and hummingbirds. She loved to share her knowledge and starts with anyone who was interested. She enjoyed evenings around the table with her friends playing games or just hanging out. Her love for animals had no bounds. She leaves behind her beloved dog, Rosie and two house cats she tamed from feral, Sassy and Miles (who was Millie until the first vet visit) and four additional cats she cared for outside. She surely would have had them tamed too, given more time. She enjoyed spending time with her best friend and neighbor Lisa Rumple. They went on many adventures in their time together and Nina became family to her.

She always made time to enjoy a meal and a sweet treat with her husband's brother and stepmother, Steve and Vera Jones, with whom she shared a very special friendship. Nina also leaves behind her beloved niece, Devlan Harmon of Shelburn, nephew, Wesley (Darla) Harmon also of Shelburn, and great nephews, Brodie Gordon and Adyn Harmon. Stepchildren, Morgan (Dwayne) Foster, Brian (Laura) Jones, and Amber (Desmond) Jones, grandchildren, Boone and Baylee Foster, Jacy (Alex) Holman, Jordan (Shania) Jones, Korbin and Kale Jones, Daylin Thompson, Demi and Drake Jones, and 6 great-grandchildren.

Nina was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Michael and Fred Harmon, and her soul mate and husband, Mark D. Jones.

Graveside services to inter Nina and Mark’s ashes in eternal rest at Bethel Cemetery in Freelandville will take place on October 18th, 2026 at 2:30 pm.  Time is subject to change and will be updated as necessary.
