Nita L. Thompson, 92 of Shelburn passed away on Thursday, December 9, 2021 in her residence.
She was born in Conneaut, Ohio on December 21, 1928 to the late Olin B. Moore and Zola Doris Duke Moore.
Nita married Joe E. Thompson on February 20, 1945. He preceded her in death on August 24, 2012. Nita was also preceded in death by grandsons: Eric P. Dodd and Joshua T. Thompson; brother Edward Moore; son-in-law Jerry L. Vinyard; and stepfather Elza Wells. She is survived by her two children: Doris Sue Vinyard and Joe Ed Thompson (Peggy); her sister Rosemary Burnett; grandsons Michael J. Thompson (Vladimir) and Sean M. Vinyard (Ashley); step-granddaughter Jennifer L. Wilson; great-grandsons Camden P. Vinyard, Daxton R. Vinyard and Alexander P. Thompson; and step-great-grandson Andrew M. Wilson. Nita is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
No services are scheduled and cremation has been chosen. Memorial services will be held at a later date. The family has entrusted Samaritan Funeral Home with arrangements.
