Olga Pages
Boyer
November 25, 1934 – May 17, 2024
Olga Pages Boyer, affectionately known by all who loved her as "Olgita," "Chickie," or "LaLa," 89, passed away peacefully in her sleep (cuddled up in her pile of warm blankets), May 17th, 2024.
Olga was born November 25th, 1934, in New York City, to Ernesto and Juana (Miranda-Valdez) Pages. She grew up in the Bronx and loved to tell us stories about her time there, growing up, and cherished her childhood friends to this very day.
Her family moved back and forth between NYC and Tampa. Eventually, she settled in Tampa, where she met the love of her life, Frank. The two were inseparable for 67 years. He passed away in February and she joined him in heaven just in time to celebrate his first heavenly birthday together.
Olga was an avid runner and ran the Gasparilla at the age of 70. She was also a hairdresser for decades and took her last client at the age of 88.
Chickie loved playing poker and entertaining friends and family. Of course, just like Frank, she also loved shooting craps, Old Barton's whiskey and beer with her pizza.
Olgita/Lala loved her family with everything she had. Her love language was acts of service. Frank couldn't even make toast or heat up his own coffee because she waited and doted on him endlessly. According to her, she raised the most perfect son-so perfect in fact-that God only had to give her one. The only people that could possibly be more perfect than her son are her grandchildren. She spent her final months surrounded by love and many great-grandchildren who adored her as she did them.
She is now reunited with her Frankie. Oh, what a beautiful reunion that must be! Truly a love story for the ages. She will be deeply missed, but as a family, we find comfort in knowing they walk hand-in-hand once more.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, siblings, and many other family members and friends.
She is survived by:
Son and Daughter-in-law, Darius and Jennifer Boyer
Grandchildren: Brookelyn (Nathan) Eubank, Cole (Tarin) Edgar, Wesley Boyer, Rylan Whistler, and Braxton Boyer.
Great-Grandchildren: Rhett, Scarlett, Baker, Jovie, Hattie, and Salem.
Many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
