Orangie Smith III, 71, passed away March 10, 2022.  He was born on February 5, 1951 to Orangie Smith II and Eva Mae Hutchinson Smith.  Orangie was preceded in death by his wife Elaine Smith as well as both parents and his brother Clarence Smith.  He is survived by his siblings Allean Smith Porter, Deborah Smith-Banks (Ronald Banks), Carl Smith (Ann), Diana Ransom (Harold Ransom); step children Daneesha Higginbotham, Titnamus Higginbotham, and Domini Schlotter as well as several nieces and nephews.  Orangie was a high school graduate from Schulte. He then went to Indiana State University for 4 years.  He worked for Tagleaf.  Orangie enjoyed camping and fishing.  Visitation for Orangie will be held at Samaraitan Funeral Home on Monday, March 21 from 9:00-11:00 AM with a memorial service starting at 11:00 AM.
