Patricia Dorsett Halfman,61, of Sullivan passed away recently.  She was born on August 18, 1957 to Wilbur Halfman and Edith (Tappan) Halfman.  She is preceded in death by both parents; former husband and companion Donald Alumbaugh; as well as brothers Michael and Ronald Halfman.  Patricia is survived by her two daughters Jessica Harding (David) and Bernie Ratliff (Lincoln), as well as their father, Bernard Dorsett; Patricia's siblings, Phyllis Fleck and Gwen Benda (Jim) and, Timothy Halfman (Kara); grandchildren Ronan, Reece, and Reed Ratliff; as well as many nieces and nephews.  Patricia was an avid pet lover; her dogs meant the world to her.  She was a very kind and loving person.  She would often help strangers get their lives on track.  Patricia was very giving, always putting others first.  Visitation for Patricia will be held at Samaritan Funeral Home, 2425 Wabash Ave Terre Haute, on Saturday, June 1 from 9:00-11:00 AM with a memorial service starting at 11:00.  In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to either the local Humane Society or a Military organization of your choice.
