Randy Wayne Thacker, 66, of Carlisle, Indiana passed away peacefully at his home with his family and friends by his side on Wednesday, December 21, 2022.

He was born on October 18, 1956, in Louisiana to Wayne and Fern Thacker. Randy was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

Randy graduated from Sullivan High School in 1975. He was retired from the U.S. Postal Service. During retirement, he liked woodworking, collecting, and worked part time mowing yards with his friend, Rodney Hale, which he enjoyed.

Survivors include his wife, Rene Thacker of Carlisle, three sons; Tom Thacker (Tina) of Sullivan, IN, Micah Thacker (Devan) of Clinton, IN and Skyler Thacker of Sullivan, two siblings; Susan Brown of Carlisle, IN and Jim Thacker of Greensburg, IN., six grandchildren; Xavier, Arabelle, Madison, Gatlin Thacker and Greyson and Ariana Lagrand.

Randy's wishes were to be cremated. A celebration of life will be held at the Carlisle Community Center on January 28, 2023, at 2:00-5:00 PM. Arrangements were entrusted to Samaritan Funeral Home in Terre Haute, IN.
