Reta C Burke, 82, of Terre Haute, passed away May 14, 2019 at 1:09 AM in Cloverleaf Healthcare, Knightsville IN.  She was born on May 9, 1937 to Harold Snyder and Eveline Harden Snyder.  Reta is preceded in death by both parents; Husband Art Burk; Children Steven Staley, Tonya Morris, and Jim Burke; Brother-in-law Archie Hogue and Sister Cheryl Sortore and her late husband Bill. She is survived by her children Nick Staley (Vallie), Byron Staley, Adrienne Davies (Dwight), John Burke, and Jill Meyers;Sister Jenny Biddle; 18 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.  Reta was a member of the American Legion Post 104, Voiture 40 and 8 Number 21, and the F.O.P.  She was very social and loved being around friends.  Reta enjoyed fishing as well as mushroom hunting.  She loved to cook and bake for everyone.  Reta spent much time sitting out on her swing and tending to her flowers.  Visitation for Reta will be held on Sunday, May 19 at Samaritan Funeral Home, 2425 Wabash Ave, from 1:00-3:00 PM with services starting at 3:00.  Burial will follow at Mt Pleasant Cemetery.  Rev.
