Rex Lavern Haviland Jr., 68, passed away on May 30, 2025. He was born on April 23, 1957. Rex graduated from Indiana State University with a degree in Radio/TV Speech Theatre. He taught for 40 years between Lake Central and Ben Davis High Schools.

He is survived by his nephew Scott Haviland (Amy) and their son Gabriel Haviland; friends Mark Walker (Cynthia) and their daughter Amelia, and Raymond Morris (Susan) and their son David.

Cremation has been chosen with no services. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Community Theatre of Clay County at www.thelarktheatre.com .
