Richard A. Carney, 71, of Cloverdale passed away Thursday March 6, 2025 in his residence. He was a retired truck driver and also from the Boone County Highway Department. He was born August 15, 1953 in Frankfort, Indiana to Lowell A. and Lucille (Latham) Carney. Richard is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Lou Ann (Higer) Carney; daughter, Christy Edwards; grandchildren, Abigail Carney, Alex Carney, Emily Carney, Kaylin Edwards, Addison Edwards, and Lillian Edwards; sisters, Nancy Parker and Loretta Posey, He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Greg Carney and sister, Linda Armstrong. Richard was a long-time member of the Cataract Yacht Club and he loved boating. He loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren. Richard was a "World Class Grandpa".
