Richard Dale Owen was born December 6, 1953 and passed onto glory on October 24, 2021.  He was born in Terre Haute, IN and grew-up in Richton Park, IL.  He graduated from Rich East High School in 1972.  After high school, he served in the Air Force for three years.  Following his separation from the military, he improved and expanded his mechanical (both house and autos), and electrical and house construction skills; he could fix just about anything that broke down.  He took his skills to Mission, Texas where he plied them for more than 20 years and made many good friends.  In 2015 Richard purchased a home in Patricksburg, IN where he made more good friends.  He was an avid reader and loved growing exotic plants and trees.  He passed peacefully in his sleep. He is survived by his two younger brothers David Owen and Philip Owen, and nieces Meghan Hansen and Samantha Owen.
