Robert Hastings, 74, of Terre Haute died Monday October 3, 2016 in Union Hospital. He was born March 15, 1942 in Odon, IN. Survivors include his wife, Carol J. Hastings; two daughters, Kimberly J. Hastings and Wendy R. Hastings; a son, William P. Hastings; and a sister, Carolyn Burkle all of Terre Haute and ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Robert "Bobby" Hastings, Jr. and a brother, Lawrence "Larry" Hastings. He was a decorated US Army veteran and served one tour in Germany. Visitation will be Friday October 7, 2016 from 2:00 until 4:00 pm in Samaritan Funeral Home with Military Honors provided at 4:00 pm by Lawton-Byrum Post #972 VFW in the funeral home. Cremation is scheduled with entombment in the mausoleum at Calvary Cemetery.
