Robert Rufus Loyd, 64, passed away on October 20,2023. He was a prior member of the Home Builders Association of Greater Terre Haute.

He is preceded in death his son Robert R. Loyd, Jr., mother and father Mary and James, sister Rebecca, her husband James Sutherland and niece Amber Richey. Robert leaves behind 8 siblings, Anne Dacanay- (Dennis Bruce-Vicki and Jesus Sanchez), Susan Loyd, (Rebecca's daughter Donna and Tony Green), Janie Loyd, Jim and Wanda Loyd-(Samuel and Amanda, Nick, Chris, Steve and Makala), Barbara Loyd, Debra and Kenneth Hayes, Gary Loyd- (Renee,Taylor, Mike Hunter), Pamela Abrams and Tim-(Ashley, Jessica,Nicole, Kristina); and 17 great nieces and nephews. Also, his close friends Geary Greaver, Timothy Altvater, Charles Vaccaro, Glen Hoopingarner, and Danny.

Cremation was entrusted to Samaritan Funeral Home.
