Ronald “Dean” Pitts of Shelburn Indiana went to be with the Lord on May 18, 2026. He was surrounded by loved ones.

Dean was born on March 21, 1951 to Jessi Pitts and Jewel Shaffer of West Terre Haute. Dean had 21 siblings.

In 2000 he married his best friend Kimberly Schell. Kimberly brought along with her 4 children who Dean loved as his own.

Dean loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved attending church with his family. Dean attended Pentecostal House of Prayer, First Free Will Baptist church, but recently, Dean was a member at New Life Fellowship in Terre Haute, Indiana where he was baptized in the name of Jesus! He loved fishing, mushroom hunting, and having game nights with his wife and grandchildren.

He loved helping his wife in the garden. He liked watching Swamp People, old western movies, American Pickers, and the Andy Griffith show. He loved watching the Green Bay packers play with his wife and granddaughter Emily.

Above all things Dean loved God, His Family, and Pepsi.

He is preceded in death by his mother, father, multiple brothers and sisters, his dog Scooter, and his cats Rocky and Mittens.

Great Grandchildren, Cara, Carley, Aiden, Damien, Paisley, Christopher, Jamyis, Sebastian, Novaleigh, and Nolan

And many nieces and nephews.
