Roy William "Bill" Barnes, 77, passed away December 28, 2021.  He was born October 20th 1944 to Roy C. Barnes and Florence (Guess) Barnes in Terre Haute Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Maxine Haney and Charles Barnes.

He was survived by his former spouse, Jan Hayes and their two children, April Tyler (spouse, Scott) and Jason Barnes (spouse, Amber) and 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandsons.

Roy was a retired laborer, serving as a 50 year gold member of the Laborers International Union of North America.  He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He also spent his time cooking, gardening and riding his bicycle on the trails. He had a special nickname for each family member. In his later years he attended Rosedale Baptist Church.

A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date for Roy.
