Samuel M. Hair, 77, of Terre Haute passed away Saturday July 18, 2026 in Westminster Village. He had worked at Chesty Foods until their closure then went to work in the maintenance department at Meadows Shopping Center. Samuel was born November 29, 1948 in Terre Haute to Gilbert Hair, Sr. and Mary Gertrude (Hedges) Hair. He is survived by his siblings, Gilbert Hair, Jr. (Jane), James E. Hirs (Linda), Mary Susan Stinson (Dave), and Theresa Ann DeBaun (Joe) and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Larry Ray Hair. In the summertime, Samuel would bleed Yankee Blue (New Your Yankees fan) and during football season, he was a devoted Green Bay Packers fan. Samuel was also a veteran of the United States Navy. Per his wishes cremation has been entrusted to Samaritan Funeral Home. A private burial will take place at Grandview Cemetery at a later date.
