Sharon Delores Lowe, 77 of West Terre Haute, passed away at Union Hospital on January 15, 2025. When she passed at Union she was surrounded by her family. She was born in West Terre Haute on May 28, 1947, to Delores June and Thomas Porter.
Survivors include two sons, Michael J. and Thomas M. Sebring and two daughters, Amanda B. White and Amber Delores Clark, and a son-in-law Zac White as well as four stepchildren, Shari Cox, Melissa Boren, Lea Lamb and Tod Lowe. Also surviving are many grandchildren, Sara and Zach, Thomas, Clayton, Emmett and Emersyn (Emme) June and great grandchildren Keaton, Hudson and Braylynn, as well as nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. She had friends and loved ones as well as lifelong friends, Marcia and Jody. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Richard Lowe who passed on April 8, 2024, and sister Charlotte Pifer.
Sharon was a graduate of West Vigo High School and worked in home health care as well as at Regional Hospital and St. Mary of the Woods.
Sharon will be remembered for her love of her husband Richard Lowe and the love of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She had a green thumb and loved plants and flowers. She was a lover of animals. She loved spending time with family and going to the movies. Mom enjoyed life's simple things; cooking family dinners, watching her shows, talking on the phone, and a good Coke.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation has been chosen. A Celebration of Life for Sharon and Richard will be held on March 1, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church at 3001 Maple Ave, Terre Haute, IN 47804.
