Sharon Lynn (Schmitzer) Rodriguez, 74, of Terre Haute, Indiana passed away in her home surrounded by loved ones on Friday, June 12, 2026. She was born to Roy Harold Schmitzer and Beatrice L’Jean (Warrender) Schmitzer on July 19, 1951 in Evansville, Indiana.

Sharon worked as a nurse for 30 years and loved her career. Sharon was a member of Eastern Star and of St. Mark’s church. She loved crafting, reading, and gardening.

Sharon is preceded in death by both her parents and her late husband, Jose Rodriguez.

Sharon is survived by her son, Steve Rodriguez (Sarah); granddaughter, Jewellynn; siblings, L’Jean (Mike) Gorman, Harold (Sandy) Schmitzer, Francis (John) Sandoval), and Noel (Carmen) Rodriguez; and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sharon’s name to Riley’s Children Hospital or to Hospice of the Wabash Valley.
