Sherry Marlene Hoggatt, 79, of Clinton passed away on Friday, August 23, 2024, at her home surrounded by her beloved family.  She was born September 25, 1944, in Mecca, Indiana to Harvey Penn and Maxine King Penn.  Sherry worked at a CNA for most of her life.  She was employed at Union Hospital, Clinton Convalescent Center, Clinton Nursing Home, and St. Mary of the Woods.  Going to the casino, camping, and watching the Golden Girls were among her favorite things.  Being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother brought her the greatest joy and was her proudest accomplishment.  She will be missed by family and friends.

Sherry is survived by her children, Donald "Donnie" Hoggatt (Donna), Ronda McMasters, Angel Bales (Chet), and Tammy Hoggatt,  13 grandchildren Stacy (Chad), Jesse (Christie), Mandy (Dan), Pete (Ashley), Chris (Emily), Ashly, D.J. (Jamacia), Mike (Lisa), Dusty (Lesli), Kyle (Shannon), Turner, Stormi, and Jake;  25 great-grandchildren (and one on the way) Gabe, Graedon, Taylor, Morgan, Luke, Ashten, Brianna, Cierrah, Bud, Xander, Xyla, Adam Nick, Kate, Owen, Charly, Max, Khloe Dylan, Hadyn, Colten, Raylynn, Charlee, Gabbie, and Finn; and sister Pamela Haase.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 54 years, Donald R. Hoggatt and siblings Ramona Coulter, Jimmy Southard, and Ronnie Penn.
