Stephen David Wilkie, Sr., 70, of Terre Haute passed away Saturday, January 29, 2022 at home surrounded by family.  He was born February 11, 1951 in Terre Haute to Ollie Lee Wilkie and Mildred Larene Long Wilkie.  Steve was a proud Navy veteran.  He loved to fish and hunt.  He was always a hard worker and was a retired bus mechanic for the Vigo County School Corporation.  Steve loved to ride his motorcycle and rode as long as he could.  Friday breakfast with his son Stevie was one of his favorite things to do.  Most of all Steve was a dedicated family man, would give you the shirt off his back if it would help, and was an overall happy man.

Steve is survived by son Stephen D. Wilkie, Jr. (Pattie), daughter Shannon Stierwalt, companion of 11 years Donna Minor, six grandchildren, five great-granchildren, brothers Bob Wilkie (Mary) and Jim Wilkey, sisters Judy Catterson and Mildred Johnson (Bruce) and his beloved dog Bo Bo.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 25 years, Brenda Wilkie, brother Albert Wilkie, and sisters Marilyn McFall and Verna Wycoff.
