Steven W. Carlock, 69 of Terre Haute, passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at Regional Hospital. He was born in Champaign, IL on December 5, 1946 to Charles Carlock and Laura Bowman Carlock. Steven was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp., having served in the Vietnam War. He worked as a computer programmer for Donnelly Directory and was an avid Cubs fan. He is survived by his wife Barbara Smith Carlock, and son Joseph "Joey" Carlock (Marcia) of Ft. Wayne. He is also survived by three grandchildren; Adam Carlock, Chaz Carlock, and Lydia Carlock. In addition, Steven is survived by his brother, David Carlock (Marsha) of Terre Haute, and two sisters, Norma Shaw (Everett) of Terre Haute and Cheryl Easley (Denny) of Danville, IN, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and by one sister, Beverly Urry. Funeral services are scheduled at Samaritan Funeral Home, 2425 Wabash Ave., at 1:00 PM, with Pastor Ray Austin officiating. Visitation is scheduled for Friday from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM at the funeral home. Cremation will follow services. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association in his memory.
