Steven Ryan McConnell, age 44, passed away on December 2, 2022 at home.  He was born on October 6, 1978 in the Terre Haute, IN.  He was preceded in death by his father, Steven Eugene McConnell, his paternal grandfather, Eugene Erwin McConnell, his maternal grandparents, Richard Eugene and Helen Maxine Layton. He is survived by his mother, Sondra Sue Fortner (Layton/McConnell), his siblings, Jennifer Lynn Aldridge (Victor), and Rebecca June Congleton (Joe), and by his paternal grandmother, Helen Jean McConnell. He is also survived by Sean Lynch (Pitts), who was like a son to him.  Steven was employed by Moore Langdon Printing, formerly of Terre Haute, IN for 19+ years.  He attended Ivy Tech where he first earned his machinist certifications and, later, his Certified Nurse Assistant licensure.  Steven loved music - guitar, drums, and vinyl LPs.  Steven's body was cremated by Samaritan Funeral Home.  An informal Celebration of Life and scattering of cremains will be held at a later date.
