Susan Jane (Strohm) Avenatti, 79, of Terre Haute, Indiana passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2026 in her home.  She was born on October 23, 1946 in Clinton, Indiana.  Susan worked for many years as a hairdresser.  In her free time, she loved going to church.  Susan could often be found reading her Bible or her devotional books.  She also enjoyed watching Andy Griffith and Gunsmoke.

Susan is preceded in death by her husband, John Avenatti; her parents Mr. & Mrs. Fred (Betha) Strohm; brother-in-law, David Rodabaugh; nephew, Pastor Warren Brokering.

Susan is survived by her sons, Stacy Avenatti and Tony Avenatti; brother Bill Strohm (Michelle); sister Ann Rodabaugh; grandchild, Corey Lynch; nieces, Lindsey Switzer, Tana Brokering, Dana Towberman (Jim), Jana Miller (Alex); nephews, Jake Strohm (Beth) and Josh Strohm; several great-nieces and great-nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the early summer.
