Susan Julia Tipton, 75, of Terre Haute passed away Thursday, January 4, 2024, in Union Hospital in Terre Haute. She was born In Hammond, Indiana on February 7, 1948. Susan is survived by the love of her life, Jim (Tipton). She and her husband have six children that love her very much. They are Alfred James Varner, Jr; Shannon Cottrell (Mark), Christopher Woodworth (Natalie), Shane Tipton (Keny), Talon Tipton (Beth), Kyle Tipton (Nickie). Susan and Jim have 13 grandchildren. They are Alfred James Varner III, Alex Varner (Bri), Conor Vance (Grace), Noah Woodworth, Adrian Tipton, Elizabeth Tipton, Alyssa Mentrup, Oliver Tipton, Easton Tipton, Ella Tipton, Emmett Tipton, Marissa Lacher, Avery Waggoner. They also has two precious great-grandchild Scarlett Varner and Bishop Phillips. Susan earned an associate and bachelor's degree in nursing. She worked in Terre Haute as a nurse for 27 plus years. She enjoyed scrapbooking with stampin' up and she was an amazing cook. Susan's smile lit up the room. And to know her was to love her. She selflessly dedicated her life to caring for and protecting her family, friends, and her patients. She loved all of us fiercely and in that would insist we live our best lives. She lives on in the very best parts of us.

Susan chose to be cremated. Her husband will be taking her home. There will be no formal services but rather a Celebration of Life party amongst friends and family. In lieu of flowers or donations please strengthen your relationship with Jesus or invite Him into your life now.
