Terry T. Tucker, Commander Retired USPHS, of Terre Haute, was 77 years old when surrounded by his family he passed away on August 31, 2018 at Miller's Merry Manor in Sullivan. Terry was born October 29, 1940, to Norman E. Tucker and Zelda M. (Pugh) Tucker.
He served in the United States Marine Corps and was an analyst for the United States Public Health Services in Washington, DC. Terry was a private pilot and shared a love of tennis, off road riding in his jeep, and his love of the outdoors with his wife, daughters, and grandchildren. Terry loved to read and volunteer at both the Sullivan County and Terre Haute Humane Society shelters.
Terry was preceded in death by both parents; and his first wife, Sandra (Crandell) Tucker.
Terry is survived by his wife of 30 years, Lynn (Underhill) Tucker; daughter, Wendy Godwin (Geoff) of Wildwood MO.; stepdaughter, Jennifer Evans (Jason Harris); brother, Phillip Tucker (Cathy); grandchildren, Claire Godwin, Aaron Godwin, Zoe Godwin and Falcon Harris; nephew, Tracy Tucker (Tina); and many other nieces and nephews.
At Terry's request, his body will be cremated with the assistance of Samaritan Funeral Home and there will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.
