Thayron "Butch" Jenkinson, 66, of Spencer, Indiana passed away Friday July 23, 2021 at his residence. He was born October 5, 1954 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Thurlow and Lucille (Perry) Jenkinson. Butch was a professional firefighter. He is survived by his wife Debra (Aders) Jenkinson; daughters, Shanna Jenkinson, Amanda Jenkinson, and Kayla Phillips (Jesse); sons, Jeffrey Jenkinson (Connie) and Timothy Jenkinson (Elizabeth); grandchildren, Darryl, Isabella, Trystan, Makenzie, Chole, Jacob, Aubrey, Jacob, Aniyah, Naomi, and Desmon; sister, Maxine Dayhuff-Lowhorn. He was preceded in death by his parents. Butch was a veteran of the United States Air force and the Indiana Army national Guard. He was a police officer in Speedway, Indiana for 5 ½ years, a volunteer firefighter, a paramedic and an ordained minister. He was Vice Commander of the Cloverdale American Legion and a member of the American Legion Riders at Cloverdale. Per his request, cremation has been chosen. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that donations be made to the Cloverdale American Legion. Samaritan Funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
