Thomas "Bill" William Ransom, 82 of Dugger, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at home on hospice care.  He was born on October 16, 1941, in Appanoose County, Iowa to the late Floyd Ransom and Evelyn (Stice) Ransom.

Bill proudly served as a corpman in the U.S. Navy. He belonged to the American Legion Post 22 in Linton, Indiana. He worked 30 plus years in the mining industry as a certified explosive blasting specialist/supervisor.

Bill is survived by his loving wife Vickie Ransom, brother Michael Ransom of Indianola, Iowa, daughter Judene Gardner of Muscatine, Iowa, daughter Deborah Robertson of Orlando, Florida, son William Ransom of Midland, Texas, two stepdaughters Tiffiny Herbst of Terre Haute, Indiana, Chastity Shepler of Merom, Indiana; 8 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, nieces and a nephew.
