Our beloved father, grandfather, and husband Thomas J. Greene died peacefully in his home in Greencastle, IN, on December 24, 2023, at the age of 85.

He was born in Cleveland, OH, on April 28, 1938. Several years later, he moved to Willoughby, OH, where he graduated from Saint Joseph High School. He served in the United States Marine Corps and was honorably discharged. He later went on to become a respected eye glass frame salesman to optometrists in various regions, including Indiana. He had a relentless zest for life and loved telling stories, especially stories that made people laugh.

He leaves behind his wife of thirty-five years, Joyce Newman Greene, his children from his previous marriage (Eleanor O'Toole) Kelly Greene Szydlo (Joe) and Michael Greene, and his grandchildren Kyle (Dorie) Muir, Corbyn (Brianna) Muir, Nichole Szydlo and Jannelle Szydlo. He also had four great-grandchildren, Lilli, Zachary, Hailee, and Alex.

He is predeceased by his father, Thomas E Greene, his mother Eva V Furlong Greene, and his older sister Mary Ann Greene Goddard Dewhurst Hovland.
