Tony Dwayne Hopkins, 79, passed away January 1, 2024 peacefully surrounded by his family. He was born on May 23, 1944 in Brazil to Max and Cordy Hopkins. He worked as an excavator and farmer. He was a World Champion Quarter Horse Barrel Racer. He also enjoyed golf.

He is survived by his son Dustin Hopkins (Theresa), sister Miki Church, grandchildren, Matthew Newport and his children Callie and Kyler; Logan Newport; Laci Persinger and her daughter Freya; Desirae Long and her children Kiana and Aeriana; and Kyle Rogers and his children Kyle II and Erza.

He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Misty "Mystic" Newport, brother Steve Hopkins, and great-grandchild Oliver Persinger.
