Verrane Shenetta “Nette” Quarles Young, 68, of Terre Haute, Indiana, peacefully transitioned from this earthly life and went home to be with the Lord on September 23, 2026.

Born May 23, 1958, to the late Virgil and Aurelia Quarles, Nette was a graduate of Terre Haute South High School and continued her education at Vincennes University. She dedicated many years to Terre Haute First National Bank before retiring. Nette accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age.

On December 10, 1983, she married James Young, and together they shared more than four decades of marriage and family life.

Quiet and private by nature, Nette was strong, resilient, and a fighter. She enjoyed museums, aquariums, crime shows, and spending time with those she loved.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, James Young; children, Natasha Claytor and Nate Young (Arcadia); bonus children, Anishia Johnson, James Young Jr., Ryan Young, Daniel Young, and Elliott Young; eight grandchildren; and many beloved relatives and friends.

Nette was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, James “Bubbs” Quarles and Joseph Quarles; sister, Virgie “Dolly” McReynolds; and beloved grandson, Alexander Richardson.

Nette was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
