Virginia Ione (Nehf) Claussen, 85, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away peacefully at Westminster Village on May 26, 2026.

Raised in Terre Haute, IN Virginia attended Wiley High School before marrying and raising six children. Her family continued to grow through many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her great joy.

Virginia will be remembered for her strong faith in God, wonderful sense of humor, love of holidays, poetry, and artistic talent; Lay’s potato chips and coffee—if you know, you know.

A gifted artist, Virginia illustrated Little Eva & Miriam in First Grade, a book written by Eva Mozes Kor.

Virginia was deeply loved by her family and friends and will be greatly missed. Her love, laughter, and faith leave a lasting legacy in the hearts of those who knew her.

A small graveside service will be held at Highland Lawn Cemetery on July 18, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. Friends are welcome to attend. Section 6, Lot 31.
