Wardell 'Bobby' Brooks was born May 18, 1957 in Milwaukee, WI to the late Bobby Brooks and Frieda Knox. Bobby was known in his youth days to break records in track & field for TH North High Sch. He attended church with his grandmother Irene Knox and mother at Shiloh MBC. He was well known at being helpful to anyone in need. Bobby's favorite pastime was to listen to music and be around his family & friends.

Bobby was proceeded in death by both his parents, one brother Billy Brooks of Milwaukee, WI, and two sisters; Marsha Brooks of Terre Haute, IN & Deatrice Brooks of Milwaukee, WI along with longtime partner, Telsa Ellington. He leaves to cherish his memory by his children Michael (Crystal) of Terre Haute, IN, and daughter Jill of Indianapolis, IN. He has honorary children Oliver and Kayla Ellington of Terre Haute, IN. Step-Father Eddie Morgan of South Bend, IN. His siblings, Bobby Brooks (Pam) of Washington, IN; Gaynell Fryer (Herb), Janelle Forte (Lue), Terry Morgan, & Theodore Morgan all of Indianapolis, IN and Linda Brooks and Eddie Junie of Terre Haute, IN. Bobby has 4 grandchildren and 8 honorary grandchildren along with a host of family and friends.

Services will be held Saturday, December 21, 2019 at 12 noon at Shiloh Baptist Church.  Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time.  Samaritan Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements.
