William M. "Bill" Vanderlinden, 74, of Danville, Illinois passed away Wednesday November 22, 2023. He retired after proudly serving for 50 years as a Journeyman Plumber/Pipefitter with Locals #319, #501, and #597. Bill was born July 24, 1949 in Aurora, Illinois to Jack and Mildred (Wooley) Vanderlinden. He is survived by his wife, Mary (McMahon) Vanderlinden, sons, Adam L. Vanderlinden (Darcy) and Jason A. Vanderlinden (the late, Shannon Ruskin); sister, Nancy Vanderlinden; grandchildren, Kelsey, Caden, Samantha (Matt), Abagail, and Christopher; great-grandchildren, Hudson and Weston and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, John Vanderlinden. Prior to being a plumber/pipefitter, Bill was a police officer. He enjoyed fishing and traveling all over the United States and Bill was BBQ expert, especially smoking meat. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date.
