William Joseph Chance Sr., 91, of Terre Haute died August 18, 2022, at home. He was born to Hazel and John Chance on March 4, 1931. He graduated from Garfield High School in 1949.

He was an Air Force veteran during the Korean War and was discharged in 1953. He joined the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 157 and was a member for over 65 years.

He was proceeded in death by his parents John and Hazel Chance, sisters Edith and Mary, brothers Herman, Gene, John, and Jerry, his wife of 42 years, Hester and daughter Dee. He is survived by his son William Jr.

Visitation will be Thursday August 25, 2022 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm in Samaritan Funeral Home with funeral services to follow at 1:00 pm in the funeral home with Reverend Dr. Clark Cowden officiating.
