William "Bill" S. Hines, 62, of Terre Haute passed away on Friday, May 19, 2023, at his home surrounded by family.  He was born August 3, 1960, in Terre Haute to George A. Hines and Mary Rose Robbins Hines.  Bill served his country in the United States Army.  He loved being outdoors.  Bill enjoyed golfing and watching football, especially Notre Dame, I.U., and the Colts.  Most of all he was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather.  His children and grandchildren were his biggest joy.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Nancy Hines, children Nathan Long, Chelsea Dillow (Mark), and Carey Johnson (Ryan); grandchildren Riley, Cheyenne, Braxton, Oliviah, Madaliss, Sadie, Bricen, Grace, and Wyatt, sister Jackie Shadow, brother Troy Hines, and his beloved dog Peanut, and several nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his parents, son Jason Hines, and brothers Adam Hines and George Hines.
