William “Bill” J. Russell, 67, of Terre Haute passed away on Friday, July 31, 2026. He was born on October 8, 1958, in Michigan to Robert W. Russell and Ruth Judd Russell. Bill worked in property management. He was a skilled carpenter and mechanic. Bill enjoyed working on cars and lawnmowers. He also enjoyed online gaming. His favorite game was Seven Days to Die. Bill was a beloved husband, dad, grandpa, brother, uncle and friend. He loved his family very much.

Bill is survived by his sons, Robert Russell (Rachael), Justin Russell, and James Russell, grandchildren Layla Russell, Ryman Russell, and Silas Russell, brothers John Russell and Bob Russell, sister Deborah Russell, stepsister Tonya Lowry, several nieces and nephews and his cats Sam and Sylvester. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Mary Katherine Russell, and siblings Steve, Sherry, and Jan.

Cremation was entrusted to Samaritan Funeral Home.
