Zina Lynn Batson was born on November 3, 1963 in Terre Haute, IN. She was called home from this Earthly life where she will be laughing and dancing in the purple rain at the age of 58. She was born to her parents, Gwendolyn G. Stewart and Jesse M. Batson. Zina was preceded in death by her father; brother Scott Batson; grandparents Walter and Etta Westmoreland; aunt Ruby Fort; grandparents Lucy Wade and Jesse Batson Sr.; special sisters Duawanna Porter and Rose Kelly. She is survived by her loving mother Gwendolyn G. Stewart; son Irick Kelly Sr. ; 2 grandchildren Irick Kelly Jr. and Krislyn Jones; brothers Dwayne Porter, Kendall Porter, Craig Porter, Stacy Batson, Jesse S. Batson, Sean Batson (Aharon), Isaiah Batson, Sylvester Garner, and Shelbi Batson; sisters Felecia Ortiz, Terri Rice, Leona "Becky" Batson Thompkins (Stephen), Kia Batson, Coryia Batson, Sasha Batson, Nicole Cooper; Aunt Helen Hill, Gwen and Bill Smith, Theresa Blackman, and Darlene Harris; host of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces, great-great nephews; special sisters Kathy Calloway, Sherry "Kay Kay" Walker and Gwen Price of California; special brother Kent Acuff. Zina received Christ at an early age and was baptized at Calvary Baptist in Terre Haute, IN. She was a very loving, intelligent, and giving person. She loved watching television, and watching movies. She could often name actors and actresses by name. She enjoyed music, one of her favorite music artist was Prince. Her favorite actress was Lucille Ball from "I Love Lucy." Zina loved her family. She loved spending quality time with her siblings, son, grandchildren, as well as her nieces and nephews. She attended elementary and High School through Vigo County School Corporation in Terre Haute, IN. Visitation for Zina will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2022 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM with services starting at 1:00 PM at Shiloh Baptist Church, 2367 7th Ave, Terre Haute, IN 47803.
