Barbara Joan Wailly, 92, passed away peacefully with family members by her side April 4, 2025. She was born August 28, 1932, in Terre Haute to Ray and Elizabeth Olivero.

Barbara earned her bachelor’s degree from Indiana State University becoming a teacher in the Vigo County School Corporation. Later in life, she worked in various administrative positions, primarily in the medical field, throughout her career. She concluded her professional journey after retiring from JCPenney, where she made many lifelong friends.

Barbara enjoyed reading, card games, bingo, and most of all, socializing with her beloved friends at Wyndmoor Assisted Living Facility. Barbara also loved spending time with her family. Barbara was extremely proud of all her daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Barbara is survived by her daughters Cheryl Hayes (John), Karen Wailly, Janice Webster (Mark), and Michelle Misterka (Matt). She is also survived by eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by both parents, husband Louis Wailly, daughter Kathy Wailly, and sister Shirley Dyer.
