Obituary

Becky E. Meloon, 62, of Terre Haute passed away Sunday March 14, 2021 in her residence. She was retired from Columbia House. Becky was born November 2, 1958 in Clinton to James and Joanne (Phillips) Blackburn. She is survived by her husband, Glen Meloon, whom she married in 2001; son, James Stephens (Pam); step-sons, Glen Meloon (Dodie) and David Meloon; sister, Liz Blackburn-shorter (Bill); brothers, Rick Phillips (Sandy) and Jim Blackburn (Stephanie); grandchildren, Hailie, Courtney, Kylie, Everly, Sarah, and Raelynn; nieces and nephews, Stephanie McLin (Michael), Andrew Blackburn (Emily), Kristi Cline (Billy), Amanda Benskin (Clint), Cory Phillips (April), Matt Blackburn, Megan Blackburn (Travis), Brian Blackburn (Brie), and Ben Blackburn; 12 great-nieces and nephews and her beloved dog, Molly. She was preceded in death by her parents. Becky grew up in the Marshall, Indiana area. She was a 1976 graduate of Hammond Tech. She was a member of the Moose Lodge #1009, Chapter #336. Becky enjoyed camping, fishing, and bowling. Most important in her life was spending time with her grandkids. Visitation will be Wednesday March 17, 2021 from 4:00 until 8:00 pm in Samaritan Funeral Home with a Women of the Moose service at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be on Thursday March 18, 2021 at 10:30 am in the funeral home with Pastor Rick Fay officiating. Burial will follow in Bethany Cemetery in Marshall, Indiana.
