Bennie Kiburis, 91, passed away on December 15, 2020 in his home in Parke County. He was born July 23, 1929 to Bennie Kiburis and Mary Nicoli. He is survived by his soulmate Judy; 3 step-children Rich Unger (Lynn) of Pittsboro, IN, Robert Unger (Kelli) of Chanceller, AL and Jennifer Ramsey (Ralph) of Sullivan, IN; 11 grandchildren, as well as 2 great-grand daughters, who were the loves of his life. Bennie graduated from Garfield High School in 1947. He enjoyed playing sports in school and even lettered in all of them. He even played professional baseball for 5 years. During 1952 through 1954 he served as military police officer for the United States Army in Albuquerque New Mexico. In 1955 Bennie became an Indiana State Trooper and after 23 years, retired in 1978 as Lieutenant. Soon after that in 1978 he worked for Vermillion County as a probation officer and retired in 1992. Bennie was a member of Social Lodge 86 and a 32 second degree Mason. He was an avid golfer, playing most his life at Forest Park in Brazil with friends. Bennie loved golf, he also enjoyed hunting, fishing, but more than anything his two great-grand daughters. Visitation for Bennie will be held at Samaritan Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 22nd from 11:00 AM- 1:00 PM with services starting at 1:00 PM. Burial at Roselawn Memorial Park will follow
