Betty L. Handcock, 80, of Greencastle passed away on February 1, 2021 with family by her side. She was born in KY to Taylor Parnell and Betsy Rogers-Parnell on April 20, 1940. Betty is preceded in death by her son Steve Molden as well as all of her siblings. She is survived by her husband Roy Hancock; daughters Gloria Skipworth and Vanessa Monnett; grandchildren Scott Monnett (Laura), Sara Monnett (Toby Blackwood), Jason Monnett (Rachel), Benjamin Monnett (Anna); great-grandchildren Liam, Analise, Aven, Gillian, Bella, Kiaya, Quinton, Aaron, Mariah, Jordan, and Olivia. Oliva was always there helping her great-grandmother Betty and keeping her entertained. Betty retired from Putnam County Hospital after 32 years. Betty belonged to the Moose. She loved music and to dance. Betty loved animals, especially her two dogs. She was a simple woman who could be feisty. Betty was a very strong woman, she lost a hard fought battle with dementia in the end. More than anything Betty loved being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A celebration of life for Betty will be held at a later date.
