Betty A. Richardson, 91, of Terre Haute passed away Monday November 11, 2024 in St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. She was an AFLAC agent for many years. Betty was born October 2, 1933 in Terre Haute to Herbert and Betty (Moore) Markin. She is survived by daughters, Karen Jackson and Juli Ross (Bud); grandchildren, Emily Ross, Sarah Hofmann (Aaron), Leah Batchelor (Daniel), Jeremy Jackson (Dorothy), Kourtney Creasey (Tom), Mechelle Wilson (Mike), and Matthew Richardson; 13 great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Richardson, who died in 1988; her parents, son, Michael Richardson; great-grandson, Bryan Barnes and brother, John Markin. Betty was a member of Berean Baptist Church. She was also a member and Past Queen of the Daughters of the Nile, Badoura Temple 23. Most importantly, Betty loved spending time with her family. Visitation will be Tuesday November 19, 2024 from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm in Samaritan Funeral Home with funeral services starting at 6:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Larry Branham officiating.
