Bobby "Bob" V. Richey

Bobby "Bob" Virgil Richey was a beloved father, grandfather, and husband during his incredible 89 years of life. Bob was born in Paris, Illinois to Robert Carnes Richey and Genevieve (Jones) Richey on May 7, 1934. Bob passed away peacefully on August 15, 2023 with his family by his side.

Bob was known for his strong work ethic, continuing his roofing career even at the age of 80. He loved tinkering in his pole barn and completing jigsaw puzzles. Bob also loved drinking his root beer and watching old westerns. He loved his family fiercely, and like the "Superman" he was, always rescuing those in need.

Bob is survived by his sons Bobby (Debbie) Richey and Steve Richey; his sisters Alberta Groves, Joyce Cline, Diana Kelly, Emma Cunningham, and Ina Abernathy; his brothers Joe Richey and Leonard Richey; his granddaughters Tammy Richey, Tracy Adkins, Tanya Richey, Krystal (Paul) Jackson, and Samantha (Jordan) Pearson; his grandson Robert Dickerson; 14 great-grandchildren, 2 of those being Kelsee (Billy) Lyon and Kaden Heyen, who he raised like his own; 9 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by the love of his life and his wife of 71 years, Patricia Richey, his parents, his step-mom Cordelia Stewart, his sisters Beverly Harmon and Linda Richey, his daughter Kim Dickerson, his son in law Bobby Dickerson, and his grandson Little Bobby.
