Carl David Norris, 79, of Terre Haute passed away Friday November 22, 2024 in St. Vincent Heart Center. He was owner of Norris Machine, Inc. He was born January 2, 1945 in Winamac, Indiana to Arlo and Louise (Rose) Norris. Carl is survived by his loving wife of 50+ years, Carla Smith Massey Norris; daughters, Stacey Coletti (Tony) and Tuesday Strong (Gary); son, David Norris (Heather); sisters, Sarah VanHuss (Mike), Jan Riddle (Jack), and Carol Hunt; brother, Ralph Norris (Dawn); daughter-in-law, Beth Massey; 15 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and his beloved dog “Poppy”. He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, John Massey and Marvin Pruett and sister, Martha Norris. Carl was a veteran of the United States Army. A member of Terre Haute First Baptist Church. He enjoyed his Tuesday morning Breakfast Club with his church friends and he loved his old cars. Carl loved making things and was an “artist with steel”. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 26, 2024 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm in Samaritan Funeral Home with funeral services starting at 1:00 pm  with Reverends John Campbell and Bernie Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. The family would like to thank the staff at DaVita for the wonderful care they gave Carl.
