Carol Jean Mayfield, 58, passed away February 9, 2025. She was born on May 5, 1966, in Rensselaer, IN to Alec and Maxine (McFall) Pearman. Carol married Chris Mayfield on February 15, 1997. She was very creative and enjoyed drawing and crafting. She also loved to read books, especially the Bible, and she liked going shopping in different towns.

She is survived by her husband Chris Mayfield, son Alec Mayfield, mother Maxine Pearman, aunt Betty Owens, and sisters-in-law Cindy Tingley, Dawnetta Hauger, and Sue Pearman.

She is preceded in death by her father Alec Pearman and brother David Pearman.

A visitation will be held on Friday, February 14, 2025, from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm at Samaritan Funeral Home with a funeral service starting at 2:30 pm at the funeral home. Private burial will be held at a later date. Online condolences can be made at www.samaritanfunerals.com.
