Cathy Jo Blackburn, 65, left this world into the arms of Jesus on August 9, 2025, in Tucson, Arizona. She leaves behind her husband Bernie, sons Eric and Bryan (Christina); grandchildren Tristlyn, Louisa, and Lucas; one great grandchild Kade, and brother Jack Jones, Jr. (Patricia). Cathy also leaves behind many dearly loved nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was like a second mom to Amy, Heather, and Rachel.

She is preceded in death by her father Jack Jones, mother Rosemary, and stepfather Wayne Naugle.

Cathy was a “bigger than life” individual with an infectious laugh. She loved her family with every breath she took. She loved to cook, loved growing flowers, antiques and decorating, and shopping. Her bubbly personality never waned despite battling cancer throughout most of her lifetime.

She recently worked for Rose Hulman for over 10 years and made many lifelong friends there. Cathy taught Women’s Bible Studies for many years and had an uncanny ability to teach the scriptures which positively impacted many lives.

She will always be remembered for her sweet disposition, even though her life was very hard with many difficult years. Cathy maintained her love for the Lord and Savior and longed to be with Him and her many family members in Heaven.
