Charity Ann McHugh, 45, went to be with the Lord unexpectedly on October 21, 2024 in Fishers, Indiana. Born on May 20, 1979, in Terre Haute, Indiana to Sonja Sue Sisil McHugh and Daniel J McHugh (Marcene). She is survived by her parents, brothers David Duncan, Aaron McHugh (Kristin), Bracken McHugh (DezaRay), sisters Lisa Duncan, Angie Duncan, Kristin McLeish (Kyle), Tori Salazar (Jorge), and many nieces and nephews. Charity was widely recognized for her kindness and generosity. She had a bubbling personality and a love for animals, especially for her dog Shuggi-nite.

She taught Bible school at a young age while attending First Assembly of God.

After winning Miss Indiana Teen, Miss Indiana, and competing in Miss America, Miss Universe and Miss Galaxy Pageants, she mentored and trained girls. Charity had a gift of public speaking, and she had a beautiful singing voice. She sang at several Benny Hinn revivals and even toured with him for a short time.

She used her gifts to encourage others to do their very best.

She was a prominent businesswoman in her earlier years, co-owning a mortgage company as well as appearing on Religion in the News as a co-host on Channel 8 with long-time friend J.R Ryder. She managed a retail store online called “Blinged with Love” where she made crystal bling items.

Her entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to her community were evident through her professional achievements and the compassionate insight she shared with others.

She shared her time by volunteering for the American Cancer Society, Muscular Dystrophy Association, and the Humane Society.

Charity loved the Lord and quoted Scripture often. She attended New Life Church. She was kind, loved animals, and will be greatly missed.
