Charlotte L. (Sowers) Ingle, 73, of Seelyville, IN passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family October 30, 2024, she was born September 27, 1951 to Mary Ruth Carrico (Sowers) and Melvin Eugene Carrico Sr.

Charlotte was known simply as “Mom-Mom” for nearly the last 30 years. Her home was always open to everyone who needed the love of a mom or grandma. Charlotte was a Breast Cancer Survivor. She worked at Pillsbury in Seelyville, Bemis, and retired from DuPont in Terre Haute in 2016. She enjoyed visiting her Florida family, country car rides, family game nights, sewing and crafting, and most recently, spending time making home-made cards, but what she enjoyed most, was spending time with her kids and grandkids. She was famous in the family and neighborhood for her Chocolate Cookie Sheet cake and passed that title on to her granddaughter, Ella Scarlett. She was a proud member of the Gerstmeyer Tech class of 1969 and a member of the reunion planning committee.

Charlotte is survived by her daughter Dawn Ingle Hunt, son Kenny Ingle, daughter Brandy Wahl, her ex-husband and lifelong partner Tom Ingle,  six grandchildren; Kye Ingle (Katie), Caleb Ingle (Rachel), Bryce Hunt, Jackson Hunt, Levi Ingle, and Ella Hunt; four great-grandchildren; Griffin, Kase, Bennett, and Kora Ingle; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Joanna Pocock of Florida and great-grandson Jaxton Maverick Cooksey.

She left us with the final instructions “Have a great life and take care of my grandkids.”
