Christopher S Prather

Christopher Sebon Prather, 50, of Lewis died Wednesday, December 29, 2021 in Gibson Family Center for Hospice.  Christopher was born June 25, 1971 in Terre Haute, IN to John Prather and Jean Prather.  Chris was preceded in death by his father, John Prather.  Survivors include his mother, Jean Prather, his beloved wife Michelle Prather, son Jared Prather and daughter Zoe Michelle Prather.  He is also survived by his brother Rob Prather (Laura), stepdaughter Tayler House (Andrew Balser), niece Courtney Cook (Austin).  He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins who were all very special to him.  He worked for Bemis Company for 25 years, as a Printing Press Operator and loved his brothers & sisters of Union Local 1426.  He loved greatly and was greatly loved.

Chris loved the ocean and warm weather and traveling to Aruba and Florida with his wife and daughter.  He loved being outdoors and taking care of his home.  Chris was a servant of God and served as a Gideon.  He was a former member of Shady Grove Church and Union Baptist Church and a current member of First Baptist Church of Shelburn.

A memorial service will be held for Christopher on Saturday, January 8, 2022; visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. until the service starts at 3:00 p.m.  The Memorial Service will be at Union Baptist Church located at 4075 E. Harlan Drive, Terre Haute, IN.  Officiating will be Pastors Ben Wetherington, Rod Maris and Marvin Miller.
