Christopher Patrick Sullivan, 63, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away on Monday, January 26, 2026 in his home. He was born to Joseph Sullivan and Shirley (Barnett) York on February 8, 1962 in Terre Haute. Chris worked as a maintenance person at the Hilton Garden Inn and enjoyed his job, especially all the people he was able to meet and speak with.
Chris loved Dallas Cowboys football and even spent some time coaching football in the past. He had the biggest personality and the biggest heart; he never met a stranger. When meeting new people, Chris was always sure to say hello to their dogs too. His family lovingly called him “Uncle Buck” because of his sweet and kind nature.
Chris is preceded in death by both of his parents and brother, Leo Akers.
Chris is survived by his daughter, Sara Brown (Brandon); brothers, Steve Sullivan and Kenny Akers (Lori); sisters, Debi McCammon (Mark), Pam Lewis (Kevin), Robin Wilson (Greg), and Rita Engleking-Benton; sister-in-law Paula Akers; grandchildren, Brandon Brown II and Raylen Brown; and his best friend Norman Carrithers (Lee).
Chris was loved by many and will be missed by everyone who knew him.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Cremation has been entrusted to Samaritan Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made at www.samaritanfunerals.com.
